rule of double effect

rule of double effect A moral guideline used to judge whether it can be acceptable to do something aimed at a good outcome while foreseeing that it will also cause harm.

A moral guideline used to judge whether it can be acceptable to do something aimed at a good outcome while foreseeing that it will also cause harm.
