Nardil is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor used for antidepressant and anti-anxiety effects. It works by irreversibly blocking MAO, which raises levels of monoamine neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine and serotonin in the brain, and it may also increase GABA through one of its metabolites.
