aesthetic value

aesthetic value Aesthetic value is the pleasing or displeasing quality assigned to something as beautiful, sublime, or ugly.

Aesthetic value is the pleasing or displeasing quality assigned to something as beautiful, sublime, or ugly. In the associationist view described here, that value comes wholly or partly from earlier pleasures or displeasures that the object, or something related to it, brings back to mind rather than from the object’s form alone.
